A Special Drawing from Clarice
Clarice drew a unicorn last night. She was so excited about her creation that she wanted me to post it on my blog. Here it is:
Pretty good drawing for an almost five year-old. I think the part of the hind section is supposed to be a rainbow.
Addendum: Dide said that she helped Clarice draw the unicorn. So I should give her credit, too!

Not Ready for the Big Shot? Here's an Affordable Option
Due to Stampin' Up!s partnership with Sizzix, we are pleased to be able to offer a test run of the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine. The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut.

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour
Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour. This month we're featuring projects using the stamp set Winter Memories. You may have arrived here from Jackie Bottomley's blog. Didn't she do a nice job!!!
Onto my project. After contemplating the many ways I could use the Winter Memories stamp set, here is what I came up with:
Does the layout look a bit familiar to you? If so, it's because I partially modeled my card from the Frosty Friends sample found in the 2012 Holiday Mini catalog. I started by stamping with StazOn ink on watercolor paper. Then I colored the images with various Stampin' Write markers and blended them using my blender pen. Then I cut the watercolor paper using my Big Shot and the largest shape from the Apothecary Accents Framelits.
But it doesn't stop there! Do you see how I matted the focal image with another Apothecary Accents shape? I achieved this look by cutting the watercolor paper a second time trimming it down a bit -- like this:
The Cherry Cobbler mat is the original framelit size. Pretty cool, eh! Oh, for added detail I used the Essential Paper-Piercing Pack to add punched holes inside the Cherry Cobbler card stock.
I'd love to hear from my readers what you think about this project.
Stamps: Winter Memories
Paper: Watercolor Paper, Regals Designer Series Paper Stacks, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party
Ink: StazOn Jet Black; Stampin' Write Markers: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Blush Blossom, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Delicate Designs embossing folder, Paper-Piercing Tool, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Pennant Builder punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

A Quick Fall Card Using Faux Tearing
Here's a quick card that I made a few days ago featuring the Faux Tearing technique.
The card base is a bit smaller than average size - 4" x 11" folded at 5 1/2." It was leftover from one of my fall stamp camps. I'm going to add this card to my "stash" and add the appropriate sentiment when I need it.
This card reminds me that we've still got leaves to rake. One of our maple trees is still hanging onto half of its leaves!
Remember to come back tomorrow to take the RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour.
Stamps: French Foliage
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, Early Espresso Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

If you need some inspiration for your Christmas cards, stay tuned! On November 11th, some of Janet Wakeland's RemARKable Stampers will be hosting a Blog Tour of a really cute Christmas stamp set featured in the Holiday Mini.
Here's my personal Stampin' Up! campaign promise:

The All-New Stampin' Trimmer
Stampin' Up! has finally made available its new Stampin' Trimmer! Here are all the features:
Here's a video from Brian at the Home Office showing you all the great reasons to get your very own Stampin' Trimmer (open my blog in your browser to view the video):
Happy Trimming!
- An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
- The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements.
- The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
- The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.
- When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
- The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch.
- All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
- The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
- A full 12" cutting and scoring track
- The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them.
- The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 12" (30.5 cm) without having to remove or switch out handles.
- The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport.
- The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.
- Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
- The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
- Handles come in two colors: dark for cutting, light for scoring.
- The precision tip on the cutting blade allows you to pinpoint precisely where you're cutting.
- The point on the side of each handle shows you where the blade will cut, making it easy to see exactly where your cuts and scores will begin.
- Storage compartment under base
- The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades, and even business cards.
- Separate compartments within the storage compartment keep your tools organized, and the clear cover makes it easy to see what you've stored.
- Product details: item 126889; $29.95
