Recently, I hosted a Birthday Bash stamp camp. Several ladies came over to make these creations. We had a great time. I made one card you can see here using Whisper White for the base. The idea for this card came from Stampin' Connection, a web site for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
I let that card sit for a day or two, knowing that it needed a little bling. Then my daughter Annika said, "Mom, you know you should use your Simply Scored Diagonal Plate on this one." Was she ever right! This was the perfect opportunity for me to demonstrate the Diagonal Scoring Plate.
So I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the Bring on the Cake stamp set on Very Vanilla, then turned it over and scored it diagonally every inch. I also doused it with a bit of Champagne Mist shimmer paint in an alcohol spray. Here's the final product:
Stamps:
Bring on the Cake (This one will be included in the new catalog!)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green, Night of Navy, Regals Patterned Paper dsp
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Simply Scored Scoring Plate, Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Square punches, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch (This punch is retiring on May 31st!!!)
Happy Stamping!

Strength & Hope Stamp Camp Extravaganza Part 3
There's a funny story behind this card. I saw it on Kelly Acheson's blog just a few short hours before I was scheduled to go to Cate's house for a Strength & Hope stamp camp. Cate was gracious enough to open her home for my stamp camp. Anyhow, I wrote to Kelly and told her how excited I was to see this card design and felt compelled to use it.
I just love Basic Gray and Rose Red together. (After looking at Kelly's blog, it seems that she used Cherry Cobbler. But I didn't have Cherry Cobbler seam binding. That's how I chose the Rose Red.) This card also features the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch.
Okay, I wrote in my last post that I was going to feature River Rock. But I still can't get over how great Crumb Cake looks with Marina Mist. This color combination is one of my favorites. The following cards use those two colors in the same layout.
I used this card as the make 'n take for a few July workshops. I think everyone liked it. This card also stayed in the line-up for my fourth and final stamp camp : )
Stamps: Strength & Hope
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Rose Red/Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Marina Mist, Soft Suede
Ink: Basic Gray. Rose Red/Crumb Cake, Marina Mist
Accessories: Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch, Crumb Cake/Rose Red seam binding
Happy stamping!

I just happen to have a "Congratulations" card read to go here. Ironically, it kinda matches the team colors. So I'll share it now.

Framed Blossom Bouquet
Here's my first "punch" at making some framed art:
It all started with a 5" x 7" wood frame from Walmart. The background has some Bashful Blue clouds sponged with the Scallop Circle and Scallop Oval punches. I also sponged some Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green on the bottom of the art piece.
This was the first time that I used the new Blossom Petals Triple Layer Punch. It's new in the Summer Mini catalog. It took me some time to figure out exactly what colors to use and where to place them. I am pleased with how it turned out. What do you think?
All of my girls are fighting over who is going to keep this framed art piece. They're going to be disappointed when the find out that it's for my friend. As inexpensive as it is, I can easily make a few more. I may expand on this idea to make gifts for the kids' teachers.
Stamps: Bold Blossom
Paper: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Pumpkin, Pie
Ink: Garden Green, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings embosslits die, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch, Scallop Circle punch, Scallop Oval punch, Wide Oval punch, brights brads, dimensionals
Happy Stamping!
