Fresh Vintage Sympathy Card

My favorite stamp set for the moment has got to be Fresh Vintage, a Sale-a-Bration exclusive.  I have plenty of other stamp sets to get inky, but this one has stayed at the top of my big ol' pile of stamps.

This is a card that I designed for my stamp clubs. I love the simplicity of it. With a switcheroo of the sentiment, you could easily make this card for almost any occasion.  Let me know what you think.

I've had a lazy Saturday.  We finally got a bit of snow - finally!  Had to go out and shovel for a while. It's not sticking to the sidewalks anymore.

Clarice just dumped out out a HUGE bin of toys.  When I asked her why she did it she replied in her cute little four year-old voice, "I am being a turtle!" then she put the bin on her back and hid under her "shell."

For those of you who ordered Girl Scout cookies, they're in.  The kids are bugging me to eat some of them.  Just gotta get all 100+ boxes sorted, then we can start eating our share.

I hope all of you are having a safe and dry weekend!

Stamps: Fresh Vintage (you can get this for free with a $50 purchase!), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Pool Party
Accessories: Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Pool Party seam binding, Stampin' Dimensionals

Elementary Elegance Sale-a-Bration Card

This is another card that I designed for my Sale-a-Bration stamp camp featuring the exclusive Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Elementary Elegance.
This card uses several Sale-a-Bration items: the Elementary Elegance stamp set, the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper, and the Everyday Enchantment ribbon & brad pack.  I love how the bird image from the stamp set matches the designer series paper.

During my first Sale-a-Bration stamp camp I gave participants an option of creating a Lucky Limeade or Calypso Coral version.  Sorry that I don't have a photo of the coral version.

By popular demand I'll be holding an encore presentation of my Sale-a-Bration stamp camp next Tuesday the 28th at my house at 10 am.  Please contact me if you're interested in attending.  I can also bring my stamp camp to you and five or more of your friends.  Just let me know.

What Was I Thinking???

I have been experiencing some Blogger trouble lately.  Seems like someone is trying to test my computer anxiety (I wrote my undergraduate thesis on it 20+ years ago).  Anyhow, I think it's up and running.  To those of you subscribing via email, please leave me a comment to let me know you're getting my blog posts.

I meant to post this card yesterday for Valentine's Day.  This card is another one that I created for my Sale-a-Bration stamp camps.
This version only uses three of the shades of pink/red.  I gave my stamp campers a few other colors to choose from so that they could put together the pattern of hearts without too much mental difficulties like I had.

I started with a Whisper White card base, then used the Heart to Heart punch three times, once in the center and then on each side.  I adhered anther piece of Whisper White behind the punched area, then used Tombow to hold the various hearts in place. The sentiment is from the Outlined Occasions Sale-a-Bration stamp set. Inspiration for this card came from Leann Greff.

Stamps: Outlined Occasions (you can get this for free with a $50 purchase)
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Rose Red
Ink: Stazon  Jet Black. markers - Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Rose Red
Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Real Red 1/8 inch taffeta ribbon

Language Of Friendship Sale-a-Bration Card

Sad to say, but I've had this stamp set for a few months and it got neglected until I saw it in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Here is a card that I cased from Michele Reynolds, one of my fellow demonstrators.  It is one of the cards that I created for my  Sale-a-Bration stamp camps.

I ran some Naturals White card stock through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames embossing folder.  Then I trimmed around the oval with my paper snips and sponged it with Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the bird and flowers with Island Indigo ink on Pool Party card stock.  After cleaning the bird stamp (an important step), I inked it up with Always Artichoke ink and stamped it onto Wild Wasabi card stock, then punched out the branch.  I stamped the flowers randomly onto Pool Party card stock with Pool Party ink and stamped the sentiment with Island Indigo ink.  The card base is Wild Wasabi.  I adhered the bird and flowers on to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I adhered the branch with Tombow, then added the pearls.

Stamps: Language of Friendship (you can earn this set for free with a $50 purchase!)
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Pool Party, Naturals White
Ink: Always Artichoke, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Bird Builder punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Big Shot, Designer Frames embossing folder, Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

Sale-a-Bration CASE

As a busy mom, I don't always have time to create new stamping projects from scratch.  That's where the "Copy And Share Everything" motto comes in handy.  I first saw a card similar to this one on Stampin' Connection, an online community for demonstrators, made in black and white by fellow demonstrator Pat Mayer.  Since I adore Delftware and Polish stoneware, I thought it was appropriate for me to make one in Night of Navy and Whisper White.
Sorry for the poor photo quality.
We visited Delft, Netherlands twice while we were there.  What great memories!

Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Blessings from Heaven
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions embossing folder, square punches, Stampin' Dimensionals

A Valentine With Two Colors Challenge - Take Two

Something strange just happened and my post went public before I wanted it to.  So I hope you're reading my post with the photos in it.

I recently saw a card designed by fellow demonstrator Sharon Field and wanted to create my own take on it.  I received the stamp set for free from Stampin' Up! and it was waiting to be inked up.

I normally would not choose to combine red and blue for a Valentine's Day card.  However, the Twitterpated designer series paper lends itself perfectly to the occasion.  And it fits the bill for the SUO Challenge.  As in Sharon's card, I sanded the dsp after embossing it, but it doesn't really give the effect that her card did.  I'll have to try it again with another type of dsp.

"Speaking" of, I'd better get off this computer and get the kids to bed.  Thursday I've got a morning stamp camp and an evening stamp club meeting.  Lots to do tomorrow to complete my preparations - this would include laundry and cooking!

Stamps: Take it to Heart
Paper: Twitterpated dsp, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo
Ink:  Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Hearts Collection Framelits, Petals a Plenty textured impressions embossing folder, Vintage Wallpaper textured impressions embossing folder, White Satin ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sanding Block

Twitterpated Thanks

A few posts ago, I wrote that I would show you a stepped up version of a Thank You card.  Here it is:

I used my Big Shot to cut the Twitterpated dsp with the Fun Flowers die, then I curved them with the Bone Folder and layered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Next, I punched seven flowers using the flower shape from the Itty Bitty punch pack and rolled them around the end of my stylus.  I glued them to the center of the flower with Tombow glue, then added the pearls. I embossed the Whisper White card base with the hearts Adorning Accents embossing folder, then stamped my sentiment, added the baker's twine and adhered the flower with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The card seemed to need a little more, so I doused it with some shimmer paint and alcohol spray.

This card is being hand-delivered to someone special : )  Let me know what you think.

Stamps: Friendly Phrases
Paper: Twitterpated dsp, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Fun Flowers die, Adorning Accents textured impressions embossing folder,  Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Bone Folder, White Baker's Twine, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Basic Pearls,  Stampin' Dimensionals

Glimmer Poinsettia for the Merry Monday Challenge

Here's another Christmas card that I made for the Merry Monday Challenge.  I actually made the focal point of this card to use for last week's challenge and didn't finish it.  Good thing that I hadn't lost the poinsettia, LOL!

I fashioned this flower using Robin Merriman's tutorial.  I purposely left the rest of the card neutral so the glimmer paper would really stand out.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the 'Merry' and 'Christmas,' and added veins to the leaves using my stylus and the foam pad from my mat pack. It happened by accident, but the first line on the newsprint dsp says, "medicinal and poisonous."  I don't know about the medicinal part, but aren't poinsettias poisonous?

Please let me know what you think of this card.

Stamps: Four the Holidays
Paper: Red Glimmer paper, Garden Green, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Neutrals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, First Edition Specialty designer series paper
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Blossom Petal Builder punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Antique Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, stylus, mat pack
