25th Anniversary RemARKable Blog Tour - Best of Shelli

Welcome to the RemARKable 25 Years with Stampin' Up! Blog Tour!  This month the RemARKables are showcasing July's theme "Best of Shelli." You may have arrived here from Jackie Bottomley's blog.  Love her creations!
Best of Shelli - Item 133488
Here's my first card. I designed this one for a recent Simply Scored class.  We used one of the zigzag designs on it.  Each one of the presents is paper-pieced.  I used some of the 2013-2014 In Colors.  I won the Pistachio Pudding Trim at Convention :)

For this next card, I used the faux-tile technique.  I also rocked and rolled the hummingbird.
Next up on the RemARKable Blog Tour is Tamra Davis.  Click on the image below or go to http://thecardladies.com to see what wonderful projects Tamra has created for you to see.

Happy 25th anniversary to Stampin' Up!  Every month during 2013, Stampin' Up! is releasing some all-time-favorites with a new, never-before-seen stamp to create a monthly “Best of” stamp set. For the August Best of 25 Years stamp set we’ve pulled together some of our favorite Halloween stamps from the past quarter century. These spooky stamps are timeless and will keep you howling with glee for many years to come!
Item 134381
While Stampin' Up! is releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, Stampin' Up! is including a collector's card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set.  Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95!  Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Tag It!

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented stampers are featuring the stamp set called Tag It.  This is a fabulous all occasion set!  What is really great about this set is that it coordinates with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies.  And it's this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  This means that Stampin' Up! will donate $3 for each stamp set they sell.  To date, Stampin' Up! has donated over one million dollars to RMHC!

Now on with my creations!

For this one, I referred to the Bermuda Bay Color Coach card for my color choices.

I used paper from the Seasons of Style designer series paper stack for this Christmas card.  I kinda like how the Labels Collection Framelits work with the Chalk Talk Framelits.

Any questions about these projects, please send me an email.  ...Next up on the tour is Tamra Davis.   Click on the image below or go to her blog following this link: http://thecardladies.com.

New Product Announcement!!!

There are some products you just have to see in action before you realize how much you need them, right?  This is one of them!  These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards. (The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.)

With the number of dies you're getting, plus the die that creates the card itself, the price is a great value-especially to create an interactive card!

Check out the Stampin' Up! video showing lots of ways to use this these dies:

  • You could mass produce these impressive "flip" cards. They would make great announcements, invitations, or Christmas cards.
  • The main shape in the cards (circle and label) can work with a lot of our stamp images so you can create tons of different kinds of cards using many different stamp sets. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:
Circle Card Thinlits Die (item 133480):
  • Worth the Wait Stamp (item 131094 W)
  • Five-Way Flower Stamp (item 131088 W)
Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479):
  • Happy Day Stamp Set (item 130294 W item 130297 C)
Both card dies pair well with:
  • Oh, Hello Stamp Set (item 131931 W item 130733 C)
  • Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set (item 131341 W item 131344 C)
  • Really Good Greetings Stamp Set (item 130330 W item 130333 C)
  • Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (item 130324 W item 130327 C)
  • These dies also work well with our new magnetic platform (item 130658) so you can place the dies exactly where you want them!
During Convention at Prize Patrol, I actually WON the Circle Card Thinlits Die!  Stay tuned!  In the near future I'll be showing you a few projects I designed using this great new die.

Sending Love and Sympathy

Plain and simple, having to send a sympathy cards is not fun.   ... I need to send one out today for a woman who suddenly lost her son.  ... Please pray for this family.

I designed this card for a recent all-occasion stamp camp.  After coloring the flower image with markers, we stamped it on the front of the card.  Then without re-inking we stamped it a second time on the inside of the card, and a third time on the envelope.  The colors faded with each stamping and looked absolutely gorgeous!  (Sorry, no photos of those images.  Take my word for it or give it a try.)

Stamps: Love and Sympathy
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Gumball Green, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Ink: Elegant Eggplant and Gumball Green markers
Accessories: none
