Glimmer Poinsettia for the Merry Monday Challenge

Here's another Christmas card that I made for the Merry Monday Challenge.  I actually made the focal point of this card to use for last week's challenge and didn't finish it.  Good thing that I hadn't lost the poinsettia, LOL!

I fashioned this flower using Robin Merriman's tutorial.  I purposely left the rest of the card neutral so the glimmer paper would really stand out.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the 'Merry' and 'Christmas,' and added veins to the leaves using my stylus and the foam pad from my mat pack. It happened by accident, but the first line on the newsprint dsp says, "medicinal and poisonous."  I don't know about the medicinal part, but aren't poinsettias poisonous?

Please let me know what you think of this card.

Stamps: Four the Holidays
Paper: Red Glimmer paper, Garden Green, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Neutrals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, First Edition Specialty designer series paper
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Blossom Petal Builder punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Antique Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, stylus, mat pack

Happy Stamping!

Susan

Susan - wow, this is superb! I love how you made the leaves for the poinsettia and scored them. Such a great idea and the neutral base really does allow the poinsettia to be the star of the card.

Beautiful job Susan! I love the neutral background - it gives a vintage feel to the card. TFS!
