25th Anniversary RemARKable Blog Tour - Best of Butterflies

Welcome to the RemARKable 25 Years with Stampin' Up! Blog Tour!  This month the RemARKables are showcasing April's theme "Best of Butterflies."  You may have arrived here from Jackie Bottomley's blog. Love her projects, she's a super-talented stamper!

Here's the card I made:

I stamped the butterflies with versamark onto vellum card stock, then heat embossed them with black embossing powder.  Then I turned them over and applied Tombow multipurpose glue to the back of each butterfly adhered scraps of brightly colored card stock (Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, and Pacific Point) to the wrong side and set them aside for the glue to dry.  After snipping out the butterflies, I added some accents with my white gel pen.  I created clouds by sponging white craft ink with scallop circles.

Next up on the RemARKable tour is Tamra Davis.  You can click the image below or go to http://thecardladies.com to see what she has created for you:

Here's a list of all participants in case you want to check back on some of their projects:

Happy Stamping!

Wow, Susan. Love the stained glass look of your butterflies. Really pretty!

Very nice! I have never tried that technique of putting the cardstock behind the embossed vellum - will have to give that a go!

awesome way to do the butterflies. I rarely use vellum - might try it now.
