If you haven't already heard, Stampin' Up! is going through a "Color Refresh." Several colors are retiring: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard and River Rock.
Colors that are being added back into the four color families are: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Wistera Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry and Island Indigo. We'll also be seeing a new color in late April called Smoky Slate.
With the recent announcement of the Color Refresh, I thought I'd center this month's projects around "the old and the new." Here's my first creation:
|This is a very simple card using River Rock and Not Quite Navy. I matted the smallest Labels framelit using this technique.|
Here's my second creation using Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, and Pool Party. I'm so excited that these three colors will be staying around for a while!
|You can see better in this close-up how I hand cut another layer of the center of the flowers.|
