25th Anniversary RemARKable Blog Tour - Best of Love

Welcome to the RemARKable 25 Years with Stampin' Up! Blog Tour!  You may have arrived here from Lee Bradford's blog.  What a great job she did with her creation!

As part of their 25-year anniversary celebration, Stampin' Up! is bringing back some favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will be released -one set per month-during 2013.  Along with some great classic images, each "Best of" set will also include a never-before-seen image!

This month the RemARKables are showcasing February's theme "Best of Love."  I've made two projects with this stamp set.  Here's the first one:

I painstakingly stamped the "love" for the background using the stamp-a-ma-jig many times.  It was well-worth the effort.  To create the heart, I inked the entire stamp in Old Olive, then colored the leaves with Always Artichoke and the flowers with Melon Mambo and Real Red.
Here's my second creation:

I inked up the hearts with Melon Mambo and "stamped off" two of them.  No matter what I did, my ribbon kept wiggling for the camera, LOL!

Let me know what you think of these two cards.  Do you have a favorite?

Next up on the RemARKable tour is Tamra Davis.  You can click the image below or go to http://thecardladies.com to see what goodies she has created for you.

An Inspirational Song

A few weeks ago, I heard the song "Carry Me" by Josh Wilson on the radio.  This morning it just popped into my head, so I thought I'd share it with you.

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Ciao, Baby!

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented RemARKable teammates are showing you many different ways to use the Ciao, Baby! stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.

Here's my first creation:
It's been a while since I sent my husband a card at work.  This one will go in the mail tomorrow.
I paired the Ciao, Baby! stamp set with Fabulous Phrases to create this card.  I ran the Pool Party Core'dinations paper through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, then sanded it.  I punched the stamped image using the new Sale-a-Bration Petite Curly Label punch, then backed it with a cut layer of Island Indigo.   I stamped the "forever" using the Fabulous Phrases stamp set, then punched it out with the Curly Label punch.  I've entered this card in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Here's my second creation:

This is the first completed card that I made with the Dress Up framelits. They are too cute!!!  The bottom layer of the dress is made from a Floral District designer series paper, then I added a hem of Primrose Petals followed by a Paper Doily layer.   I completed the ensemble with a string of pearls.

Best of Flowers

Happy 25th anniversary to Stampin' Up!  Every month during 2013, they're releasing some all-time-favorites with a new, never-before-seen stamp to create a monthly “Best of” stamp set.  And what else would you expect from a March set than images that will help you get through this winter -- the Best of Flowers set!

Best of Flowers is item 133342. Wanna know which stamp is the new one?  I'll give you a hint: it coordinates with the 1 1/4" scallop circle punch.
While Stampin' Up! is releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, Stampin' Up! is including a collector's card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set.  Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95!  Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

I am exited to announce that Stampin' Up! is now making available a new Photopolymer stamp choice.

What is it and what makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • I could go on, but I'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.
Item  132956 $13.95 57 Piece Set

Features of the Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set:
  • Use this exclusive alphabet set (with extras!) for titles or embellishments on scrapbook pages, cards, or any type of project.
  • Clear block sizes A, B, G, F, and I are recommended (not included in the set).
  • Our photopolymer stamps offer a versatile all-clear stamping option.
  • Our top-quality photopolymer gives a perfectly stamped image every time.
  • Best of all, you get to enjoy tons of images for a great price...only $13.95 for 57 images!
So cool!  You can curve the stamp images onto your clear blocks to get different effects!
 The Fine Print

  • Photopolymer stamps will be offered on a trial basis. Based on popularity, we hope to release more photopolymer stamp sets over the coming months. At this time we don't plan on offering a line of photopolymer sets as expansive as our wood-mount and clear-mount lines.
  • Not available in wood-mount or clear-mount.
  • All photopolymer will be packaged in cello bag w/insert, but don't forget you can store them in our clear cases.

Here are some ideas from the Stampin' Up! blog for your viewing pleasure:
