RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Tag It!

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented stampers are featuring the stamp set called Tag It.  This is a fabulous all occasion set!  What is really great about this set is that it coordinates with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies.  And it's this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  This means that Stampin' Up! will donate $3 for each stamp set they sell.  To date, Stampin' Up! has donated over one million dollars to RMHC!

Now on with my creations!

For this one, I referred to the Bermuda Bay Color Coach card for my color choices.

I used paper from the Seasons of Style designer series paper stack for this Christmas card.  I kinda like how the Labels Collection Framelits work with the Chalk Talk Framelits.

Any questions about these projects, please send me an email.  ...Next up on the tour is Tamra Davis.   Click on the image below or go to her blog following this link: http://thecardladies.com.

25th Anniversary RemARKable Blog Tour - Best of Brides & Babies

Welcome to the RemARKable 25 Years with Stampin' Up! Blog Tour!  This month the RemARKables are showcasing May's theme "Best of Brides & Babies." You may have arrived here from Jackie Bottomley's blog.  She creates some great projects every time. I'm never disappointed!

I have to admit, I am so happy that Blushing Bride is now one of the core colors.  I missed it a lot!  For today, I made two versions of the same card.  Here's the first one:

And here's the stepped up version:

The differences are that I used the new Beautifully Baroque textured impressions embossing folder, silver glimmer paper, and some dazzling details. It also has a different punched flower with pearls instead of rhinestones.

Catalog Extravaganza Make-n-Take

About two weeks ago I held my New Catalog Extravaganza.  Everyone who attended had a great time (or they faked it really well!).  The food was great, too.  My friend Sue Trout catered it and my mom baked mini cherry cheesecakes.  (See the recipe in tomorrow's post.)

Today I'm sharing the make-n-take that we created at this event.

That strip of Strawberry Slush didn't sit still for the photo.  She's crooked!
Nothing too fancy about this card except that I punched an extra Daffodil Delight Artisan Label, cut it in half, then layered it under the stamped image.  A few of my ladies commented that they forgot about employing that easy technique.  We all need reminders now and then!

I could imagine using this card layout for other types of cards.   A few of my customers needed a baby card, so they used the "cutest baby ever" stamp with a different designer series paper to make a really cute card.  I'll try to find a photo of that card soon.

Stamps: Label Love
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink: Island Indigo
Accessories: Big Shot, Modern Mosaic embossing folder, Artisan Label punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

The UPS man delivered the orders from my New Catalog Extravaganza event yesterday. I am knee-deep sorting the orders now!

Artisan Embellishment Class Part Two

Don't forget to check out my previous posts about the Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit
available while supplies last, the Retirement Lists, the photopolymer stamp sets.

Also two promotions are ending on April 30th -
This and That promotion, and the Sent with Love promotion.

Here is the second set of cards that I created for my Artisan Embellishment Kit class.

This is a Stampin' Mom of Four original.  Kinda sad that Pretty in Pink is retiring. But we'll have Blushing Bride back in the mix!  The sentiment is from the retiring Word Play stamp set.

I saw a similar card posted on Facebook by Rose Ward.  Love fancy cards with no stamping!
I fashioned this card from a sample that Melissa Davies posted on her blog.  I changed the location of the sentiment and the designer series paper.  This sentiment is part of the Word Play stamp set and will be retiring on June 3rd!

This card also originated from Melissa Davies.  All I did was change the designer series paper of the largest flower.  My ladies really enjoyed making this card.  ... The splotches from French Foliage are retiring June 3rd.   However, Feels Good made it into the 2013-2014 Catalog!!!

I'd like to thank Melissa Davies and Rose Ward for their inspirations.  I still have room for one more person in my last Artisan Embellishment card class next Tuesday the 7th at 10 am.  First one who responds gets the seat!

Artisan Embellishment Class Part One

Don't forget to check out my previous posts about the Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit
available while supplies last, the Retirement Lists, the photopolymer stamp sets.

Also two promotions are ending on April 30th -
This and That promotion, and the Sent with Love promotion.

I started working on my Artisan Embellishment cards back in December.  At that time I had Valentine's Day on my mind.  February came and went - and along with it several card designs!   So I had to come up a few different ideas for using the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  Here are the first four:

This card idea came from Melissa Davies. I changed the color to Baja Breeze (I am really going to miss that color!) and used a different sentiment.
This is the card that Joanne Travis designed.  In her original, she used the resin flower.  I added the pearl.
This card was originally designed by Patty Bennett.  I think all I change was the paper tags.
This one is a Stampin' Mom of Four original. Friendly Phrases is retiring at the end of May.

I'd like to thank Melissa Davies, Joanne Travis and Patty Bennett for use of their card ideas.  Stay tuned tomorrow for the other four cards :)   ...I still have room for one more person in my last Artisan Embellishment card class next Tuesday the 7th at 10 am.  First one who responds gets the seat!

25th Anniversary RemARKable Blog Tour - Best of Flowers

Welcome to the RemARKable 25 Years with Stampin' Up! Blog Tour!  This month the RemARKables are showcasing March's theme "Best of Flowers."  You may have arrived here from Jackie Bottomley's blog.  I love how she used this set!  Here's the card I made:

This card is really clean and simple.  I fashioned it after this one.  I ran the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder through the Big Shot twice so that I had the space to stamp the sentiment.  I'm sure going to miss Regal Rose!  It's one of the colors retiring at the end of May. Let me know what you think of this card. I'd love to hear your input.

My original plan was to create at least three cards for this post.  However, over the last few weeks we've been having some issues in our family that have taken away some of my stamping time.    Prayers would be appreciated.

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Ciao, Baby!

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented RemARKable teammates are showing you many different ways to use the Ciao, Baby! stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.

Here's my first creation:
It's been a while since I sent my husband a card at work.  This one will go in the mail tomorrow.
I paired the Ciao, Baby! stamp set with Fabulous Phrases to create this card.  I ran the Pool Party Core'dinations paper through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, then sanded it.  I punched the stamped image using the new Sale-a-Bration Petite Curly Label punch, then backed it with a cut layer of Island Indigo.   I stamped the "forever" using the Fabulous Phrases stamp set, then punched it out with the Curly Label punch.  I've entered this card in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Here's my second creation:

This is the first completed card that I made with the Dress Up framelits. They are too cute!!!  The bottom layer of the dress is made from a Floral District designer series paper, then I added a hem of Primrose Petals followed by a Paper Doily layer.   I completed the ensemble with a string of pearls.

25th Anniversary Blog Tour - Best of Birthdays

Welcome to the RemARKable 25 Years with Stampin' Up! Blog Tour!  You may have arrived here from Lee Bradford's blog.  What a great job she did with her projects!

When Stampin' Up! announced at the Leadership Conference about the "Best of 25 Years" stamp sets, I got really excited!  As part of their 25-year anniversary celebration, they're bringing back some favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013. Along with some great classic images, each "Best of" set will also include a never-before-seen image!

January's theme is "Best of Birthdays."  I've made three projects with this stamp set.  Here's the first one:

I used one of the shapes from the Apothecary Framelits to create a layered look.  See here how I did it.
Here's the second one:

This last one is a copy of one that we saw demonstrated at Leadership.  I used it in my stamp clubs this month.  Our theme for the month was "tools."  I changed things up a bit from the original card and used my Color Spritzer tool to add some splashes of Garden Green.
Here's a closer look.

I'll be glad to answer any questions about my projects.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Next up is the uber-talented Tamra Davis of http://www.thecardladies.com/.  Click on her link or on the image below to see her creations:

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Collage Curios

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented RemARKable teammates are showing you many different ways to use the Collage Curios stamp set.   I  chose to pair both of my creations with the Print Poetry paper stack.

I think the inside of this card might just reveal a vacation invitation!

A sample on Pinterest gave me the inspiration for this next card.

Some of the patterns in the Print Poetry stack seem kinda "busy" to me.  Here, I demonstrate how you can add just a bit of designer paper to get a really fun look.  I flattened the Soda Pop Top with my Big Shot.  There are many variations that explain how to do it.  I chose to place my Soda Pop Top between two acrylic plates, place the plates onto the multipurpose platform (with all tabs closed), then run it through my Big Shot.

In both of these creations, I used only Crumb Cake and Midnight Muse inks, yet I created two completely different looks.  Hope you enjoyed them.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
