Mom's Birthday Card

My mom's birthday was yesterday. We're going to celebrate by going out to dinner tomorrow night.  In the meantime, I made her this card:

I have to admit that I don't send Mom cards often enough.  Sorry Mom!  (I do give her cards to send to others, though.)
I'm entering this card in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Check it out!

Stamps: Hello Doily, Field Flowers, Delightful Dozen, Bring on the Cake (inside sentiment - no photo )
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Extra-Large Oval Punch, Vanilla Seam Binding, Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Stamping!

Thank You - Day 4 - Papaya Collage

When I first saw the Papaya Collage stamp set, I was intrigued by it. It's a set that can be used for many different purposes, but it's not my "style."  I chose it the set as one of the free sets I got for sales during Sale-a-Bration.  And I knew I'd have to stretch myself to use it.  (See samples here and here of how I've already used it.)

Here's another clean and simple thank-you card that I created using one image from the Papaya Collage stamp set:
I am loving making clean and simple cards.  However, I have to admit that it's sometimes more difficult to conceptualize a clean and simple card.  Why is that?

Stamps: Papaya Collage, Delightful Dozen
Paper: Very Vanilla, Gumball Green
Ink: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Night of Navy
Accessories: none

Birthday Bash #5

This is the final card that I designed for my Birthday Bash stamp camp.  Inspiration for this card came from Stampin' Connection.

After stamping the sentiment, I adhered the center candle directly to the card stock.  (The Just Add Cake designer series paper is retiring in two weeks!!!)  The two candles on each side were adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  All three flames were sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink and popped up on Dimensional. I tied the ribbon "bunny ear" style then adhered the bow with a glue dot.

Dide gave this card to her friend Adalena for her birthday. She loved the rhinestone on the sentiment.

This concludes my Birthday Bash stamp camp. I'd love to hear what you think about this card.

"Speaking" of Dide, check out her really loose two front teeth.  They're hanging down crooked.  Can't wait to hear her talk with a lisp after they fall out.  Any day now!

Stamps: Delightful Dozen
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Subtles Patterned dsp, Just Add Cake dsp
Ink: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Bird Builder punch, Rhinestones, Whisper White taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Tool Shed Happy Birthday Card

I almost forgot to share the last two cards that I designed for my Man Card stamp camp.  This first one was originally designed by LeeAnn Greff.  It features the Tool Shed background stamp.  (I love this stamp and wanted to buy it last summer right after I saw it.  Having the Man Card class sealed the deal, I HAD to have it!!!)  I used the cutter kit to distress the edges, added accents with the white gel pen, and sponged it with Cajun Craze ink for an aged effect. The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen.  (I'm so glad that set didn't retire!)

Stamps: Tool Shed, Delightful Dozen
Paper: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Ink: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, Pennant Bigz L die, Neutrals brads, 1/4" Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon, mat pack and paper piercing tool, Signo White gel pen

Once again, Randy didn't win the lottery last. So it looks like I'll have to scrub my shower today, along with doing the laundry, cooking and all the other motherly duties. I'll also be keeping the peace with my kids (I'd probably be doing that regardless of winning the lottery). It's a cold, rainy day.  Maybe we'll forget about the cleaning and bake some cookies : )

I'll share the last card from my "Man Card" stamp camp tomorrow.

Happy Stamping!

Hippety Hoppy Hoppers' Hop!

Welcome to the Hoppers' Easter Treat Blog Hop!  Today I've created a Bunny and Carrot Box.  This idea came from a tutorial that Sarah Wills featured on her blog last spring.  I loved the idea, but was too busy last year to make one.  But I made sure to allow plenty of time this year.

I used the Simply Scored (a must-have!) to make this box.  I was amazed at how quickly it all came together using Sticky Strip.  The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.  Love that set!
I bought the Lindt chocolate carrots at CVS pharmacy.  (I also saw them at Walmart.)  They come in a pack of four.  I actually had to go buy another box of carrots since my kids ate the first ones, LOL!
Stamps: Delightful Dozen
Paper: Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Simply Scored, various punches, Sticky Strip, glue dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, So Saffron grosgrain ribbon (retired SAB)

Now hop on over to the Michelle Clarke's blog to see what other great Easter ideas there are out there...
