World Card Making Day - RemARKable Stampers Blog Hop Stop Five

Happy World Card Making Day! Welcome to Stop Five of the RemARKable Stampers Blog Hop. We've got plenty of inspiration for you to absorb.  Sit back, relax, grab a cup of your favorite beverage or a snack and enjoy!

The stamp set Creative Elements is one of my favorite sets.  During this blog hop, I will be sharing my creations using this set.  Here are my final cards.  I created two different color versions using the same layout:

Check out how the Champagne Shimmer Mist paint sparkles!

Here, you can see how the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz glimmers.

This card was also Pinterest inspired. (I've got to stop spending so much time on that site!)  After cutting the flower pieces with the Floral Framelits die, I spritzed each flower with water using the Stampin' Spritzer, then crumpled them up and let them dry.  After they dried I pierced each later with the Paper Piercing Tool and assembled the flowers together with an Antique Brad.  I also spritzed the punched leaves with water and crumpled them.  One flower has a few more layers. Which version do you like better?

Stamps: Creative Elements, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green / Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Always Artichoke
Ink: Gumball Green / Always Artichoke
Accessories: Big Shot, Floral Frames Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Blossom Petals Builder punch, Antique Brads, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Paper-piercing Tool; Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint / Log Cabin Smooch Spritz

Freshly Made Sketches #39

Here's my interpretation of this week's Freshly Made Sketches.
I chose my ink colors from a pattern in the Floral District designer series paper and punched all five possible layers in the Quintessential Flower stamp.  Each layer is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. Other new items on this card are the Large Scallop Edgelits, the Delicate Designs embossing folder, and the Bitty Banners Framelits along with the Itty Bitty Banners sentiment.

Stamps: Quintessential Flower, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Floral District dsp
Ink: Rose Red, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Big Shot, Large Scallops Edgelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Delicate Designs embossing Folder, 2 3/8" and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punches, 1", 3/4" and 1/2" Circle punches

Dide is still holding onto her top front baby tooth. It's kinda creepy looking!

Happy Stamping!

Open House Make-n-Take

Whew!  Two days ago I held my New Catalog Open House.  Can you believe - I was SO busy that I forgot to take photos!  I had lots of samples available for my customers to see, a New Catalog Scavenger Hunt, a customer questionnaire, and, of course, yummy food and the 2012 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog! At one point, you could've heard a pin drop because all my guests were closely studying the catalog.

Here is the make-n-take that I had available for the ladies to create.  The idea came from Stampin' Connection, an online community for demonstrators.
My oldest daughter Annika helped arrange the retired stamps table.  And all my girls did a great job helping my guests feel welcomed in our home.  I was really proud of them.  And Bradley pretty much stayed out of the way all day.

From those who completed my customer survey, I chose two winners.  One got the new 2012-2014 In Color markers and the other got the new 2012-2014 In Color card stock.

I had also planned to choose one mystery hostess from everyone who bought merchandise from the new catalog.  However, the sales were so phenomenal that I am going to divide the benefits among several customers.  It's all because of the we {heart} our hostesses promotion.  Gotta love it!!!

After taking yesterday to "recover" from my Open House, I felt motivated today to create another card like the above except I used colors recommended by the Color Coach.

The colors are Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and More Mustard. I stamped off before stamping the small flower trio stamp.

On another note, I took Annika and Dide to get their hair cut today.  While I was paying, I went ahead and re-scheduled their next appointments.  Exactly six weeks from now, I will be in Salt Lake City for the Stampin' Up! convention!!!  So, my poor girls will have to wait and extra week to get their hair trimmed.  (In my absence, I didn't want to overburden my dear husband with a hair appointment.)  I'd better get started making my swaps soon!

Here's a photo of Dide taken last week with one less top tooth.
The remaining tooth looks like it's growing down from the center of her gums.  Too cute!

Stamps: Betsy's Blossoms, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Gumball Green, Whisper White / Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, More Mustard
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse / Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, More Mustard
Accessories: Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits

Happy Stamping!
