Last Minute SAB cards

I love, love, love quilted cards!  I couldn't resist making a few of them using the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.  This was one one of my stamp club projects for this month. I let the ladies choose their own color combinations.  Here are the samples I made:

One of my special club girls, Kim, wanted to use Labels Framelits to cut out her quilt.   I thought it was a brilliant idea!  I should've taken a photo of her creation.  I hope to remember my camera for the next club meeting.

I think I had other creations to share here using Sale-a-Bration items.  Alas, today is your last day to get SAB goodies!  I'm sure we'll have beautiful options for next year.

Next week, I'll be showing you some more quilted cards using the Summer Smooches designer series paper.  So stay tuned!

Stamps: none
Paper: Everyday Enchantment designer series paper, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, Framed Tulips, Vintage Wallpaper tief, Snow Burst tief, Petals a Plenty tief, various ribbon

Happy Stamping!

Yet Another Vintage Rose!

My friend Diane asked me if other shapes of punches would work to make these roses.  So here's my attempt at making one with the oval punch (1 3/4" x 7/8"). I still used the 2 3/8" scallop circle to make the center.

I made this card a bit different than the first two just to change thing up a bit.  I used Confetti Cream as my card base and added a layer of Springtime Vintage dsp cut with the Top Note die and sponged it with Soft Suede.  The sentiment and punches are different, too.

Stamps:  Because I Care (hostess level 1)
Paper:  Confetti Cream, First Edition designer series paper, Springtime Vintage Designer series paper, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, So Saffron
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note die, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch Crystal Effects

My kids are getting on my nerves today.  No one seems to want to help with household duties. I am trying to remain calm with them.  However, there will be consequences.  Guess I'm feeling a little down and unappreciated. Gonna go run the vacuum cleaner and pray!

Happy stamping!

Baby Cards

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine, Amber, had a baby girl.  Of course, I wanted to send a card to celebrate the addition to their family.  As it usually happens, whenever I need a card to send right away, I don't have one ready.  So this time I got smart and made four cards - two girl ones and two boy ones.

I'll be ready when the next boy makes his appearance on this earth. Here's the card to prove it.

Above is the card that I sent to my friend Amber and her family.  I used the Top Note die, the 1 1/4 inch square punch, and the petals a plenty embossing folder to make the "baby quilt."  The stamp is from a retired set called So Many Scallops.   I added some Dazzling Diamonds using the two-way glue pen to the moon and stars.   Welcome baby Rylyn!
