To My Loyal Readers

I am still here.  I have let my blogging take a back seat to the other obligations in my life.  As a wife, mother and the CEO of Stampin' Mom of Four I balance a lot of plates.  There have been so many promotions from Stampin' Up! that I have neglected to post.  Personally, I do not want to be one of those bloggers who only posts every promotion that comes along.  That can be a real turn-off.  I want to be a blogger who publishes real content -- CASED or not.

Over the past few months I have created some really cute cards, but I haven't followed up with taking photos and writing posts.  Instead, I have dedicated time to my current customers -- and juggling all of those other plates in my life.  Even though I am busy, I know I can manage my time better.

The paper angel is one of the projects I am making for the Victorian Christmas Bazaar this Saturday at the Oil City K of C.  She's not quite finished. I still have to add a little stamp in the center of her glimmer circle.  I've got all the pieces ready to assemble.

As always, you can check out my web site to see what's going on here.

A New Song - Take a Listen

It's been a while since I shared an inspirational song.  Here's one I heard a few days ago on the radio. I'm not really into country music or banjos, but I do like the message this song conveys. It's kinda growing on me.

Guest Designers and an Inspirational Song

While I was in the middle of creating cards for my last blog post, both Dide and Clarice wanted to join me.  It's much less painful for me to have them join the fun than try to keep them away.  So here's what they created:

Dide chose to use Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, and So Saffron

Clarice went for the monochromatic look.  She asked me to write, "I love fall" and she copied it - along with her famous "Girl With Pig Tails" in the corner.  I sure miss her while she's at school!
I heard a song on the radio this morning that I wanted to share with you called Words.  Sometimes I'm the recipient of negative words, sometimes I'm the speaker.  Kids at school can be mean to one another.  People can say mean and negative things at work.  People can be mean in the Walmart check-out line. ... In your day-to-day activities, think about what a difference it makes when we speak uplifting words to someone.

An Inspirational Song

A few weeks ago, I heard the song "Carry Me" by Josh Wilson on the radio.  This morning it just popped into my head, so I thought I'd share it with you.

Sunday Share

Today I'm sharing some cards that two of my daughter's made.  They created these beauties while I was making the cards for my Fun, Fabulous, Fall Stamp Camp.  The girls kept interrupting and interrupting my creative process with requests like, "Mom, would you get me a purple card base?"  and, "Mom, I need the butterfly punch."  For a very short time I found myself getting frustrated with them.  But I quickly realized that they really, truly loved what they were doing.  Who can be frustrated about that???

Dide asked me, "Mom, can you get me that stamp with the bowl of cherries?  Then can I have the one with the little girl?  ...I need a Cherry Cobbler marker, please.  ... I need a purple marker for her dress and a brown one for her hair.
Clarice LOVES using punches.  I gave her a folder of scraps and she went to town! She drew faces on the butterflies, hearts on the top of the card, and gave her flower a stem. Inside, she used the Create a Cupcake stamp set with Tangerine Tango ink. It didn't photograph well.

My friend and downline Lynn lost a close friend to a tragic accident yesterday.  He left behind a wife and two children.  When Lynn called to tell me about it, all I could say was, "I'm sorry!"  Here are a few songs that I'd like to share with you for those who are suffering from a loss. My Hope Is In You, Lord

When we bought our new van it came with a 90 day subscription to Sirius XM Radio.  I've been loving it!   Not sure I want to give it up.  But I'm gonna have to be selling a lot more stamps to afford it, LOL!

The kids like Radio Disney and some other teenie-bopper station.  My two favorites are "The Boneyard," a heavy metal station and "The Message," a Christian station.  Talk about two completely different stations.

Last night, I went to the funeral home last night to see my Aunt Carm.  That was the noisiest funeral home I have ever been to - all those chatty Italians in one big room!  Even though it was sad, everyone was prepared, in some way, for her passing.  On the way home I heard a new song on "The Message" and wanted to share it.  Knowing that I would forget the artist and title, I saved a text message in my phone with the information (also hoping that I wouldn't actually send the message by accident).  Then I watched the video this morning.

Kinda ironic, I had no idea that the video would be about someone passing.  I hope to remain strong for my Aunt Carm's children and grandchildren - and also for my dad and his brothers and sisters.

Addendum:  I also found a video that was the inspiration for this song and wanted to share it, too.
