RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Harvest of Thanks

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented stampers are featuring the stamp set called Harvest of Thanks. (Some others are using the Christmas ornament set.)  This distressed image set is featured in the Holiday catalog and contains shapes that coordinate with some of our Sizzix framelits.  Even if  you don't stamp "perfectly," these images turn out looking fine every time.

Wood Mount 131736 $20.95 Clear Mount 131739 $15.95

Here is my creation:

I paired this stamp set with Marvelous Maple stamped in Versamark on Soft Sky card stock.  I also used a piece Sweater Weather designer series paper.  I finished up the card with a strip of fringed Burlap Ribbon and a Naturals designer button with a bit of the leftover burlap tied into the button.

This card is quick and easy to create. I'm going to send it to the Girl Scout leaders who tool my girls on a bus trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo today.

Any questions about these projects, please send me an email.  ...Next up on the tour is Tamra Davis.   Click on the image below or go to her blog following this link: http://thecardladies.com.

Guest Designers and an Inspirational Song

While I was in the middle of creating cards for my last blog post, both Dide and Clarice wanted to join me.  It's much less painful for me to have them join the fun than try to keep them away.  So here's what they created:

Dide chose to use Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, and So Saffron

Clarice went for the monochromatic look.  She asked me to write, "I love fall" and she copied it - along with her famous "Girl With Pig Tails" in the corner.  I sure miss her while she's at school!
I heard a song on the radio this morning that I wanted to share with you called Words.  Sometimes I'm the recipient of negative words, sometimes I'm the speaker.  Kids at school can be mean to one another.  People can say mean and negative things at work.  People can be mean in the Walmart check-out line. ... In your day-to-day activities, think about what a difference it makes when we speak uplifting words to someone.

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Magnificent Maple

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented stampers are featuring the stamp set called Magnificent Maple.  This is a single stamp featured on page 18 of the Holiday Catalog. Oh, the magnificent possibilities one can dream of using this stamp!
Item 131868 $9.95

For this blog hop I created several versions of the same style card using different card stock color combinations.  For all of the cards I used Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks. I also added Cajun Craze to a few of them.  Once completed, the cards needed something "extra," so I added some Crumb Cake splotches from Gorgeous Grunge.  Here they are in no particular order:

I purposefully did not add sentiments to these cards.  It's always good to have all-purpose cards around that are ready to be personalized.

Any questions about these projects, please send me an email.  ...Next up on the tour is Tamra Davis.   Click on the image below or go to her blog following this link: http://thecardladies.com.
