RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Secret Garden!!!

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month some of our most talented RemARKable teammates are showing you many different ways to use the Secret Garden stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.

If you haven't already heard, Stampin' Up! is going through a "Color Refresh."  Several colors are retiring:  Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard and River Rock.

Colors that are being added back into the four color families are: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Wistera Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry and Island Indigo.  We'll also be seeing a new color in late April called Smoky Slate.

With the recent announcement of the Color Refresh, I thought I'd center this month's projects around "the old and the new."  Here's my first creation:

This is a very simple card using River Rock and Not Quite Navy.  I matted the smallest Labels framelit using this technique.

Here's my second creation using Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, and Pool Party.  I'm so excited that these three colors will be staying around for a while!

I stamped the flowers on Shimmery White card stock using StazOn, then I colored them with markers and cut them out with my Big Shot.  I created the background paper using the Netting background stamp.  I really love that stamp, so I hope it stays around in the next catalog.

You can see better in this close-up how I hand cut another layer of the center of the flowers.

Thank you - Day 6 - Everything Eleanor

As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have Everything Eleanor.  Her images are just gorgeous.  The flourish reminds me a bit of the one that retired from Baroque Motifs.  This is the first card that I made using the set.  It's another clean and simple one:

I used the new firm foam ink pads to create this card.  All areas of the flourish inked up so easily with a light touch.  These new ink pads may take a little getting used to.  But once you try them, you will LOVE them!

There are so many more possibilities Everything Eleanor has to offer.  I'll share some ideas for you from this set in some upcoming posts.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Perfectly Penned
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Stamping!
